Whether you are preparing to take the Illinois content test for early childhood education (206) or elementary education (305) through the Illinois Licensure Testing System (ILTS), there are some common tips and study strategies you will want to employ as you prepare for your test.

This site has been developed to support you in the process of reviewing key content likely to be included in your test as well as to offer you practical experience in answering multiple choice questions that are written in a similar manner as you will encounter on the content test.

The test modules you will find in the pull-down menu above will lead you through broad test preparation topics- such as Becoming Familiar with the Test, and Reducing Test Anxiety 101, to more focused content you will find in each Sub Area of the Early Childhood Content Test Module (206) and The Elementary Education Content Test Module (305).

As you review each module, you will at times be provided with links to relevant study resources, websites or videos of teacher practices that will illustrate a particular teaching strategy or concept related to key objectives explored on your test.
